Charles Howard Goerl

Charles H. Goerl, 90, of Davie, FL passed away on May 26, 2026 with his family close by. He was born to the late Adam (Charles) Goerl and Dorothy Keyes on September 08, 1935 in Manhattan, NY. After completing school he married his wife of 58 years, Marie Clarke on June 23rd, 1956.

The patriarch of his family, he volunteered with many charitable organizations including over 20 years with Covenant House. Where he received a "Lizzy Award" for his service. A parishioner of St. David's Catholic Church where he served as a Eucharistic minister and would later even come to work for the parish after retiring from his career at Northwest Airlines. A fourth degree knight with the Knights of Columbus. He was a kind and selfless man.

Charles is survived by his daughter, Cecelia Kauffmann, her sons, Charles and Christopher Kauffmann, and his great-grandchildren Aiden and Chloe Marie. All of whom adored him.

A viewing will be held at T.M. Ralph Funeral Home at 371 NW 136th Ave. Sunrise , FL. 33325 on Monday June 1st, 2026 between 4pm and 7pm. The funeral mass will be at Saint David’s Catholic Church, 3900 S University Dr, Davie, FL 33328 at 10am on Tuesday June 2, 2026. In lieu of flowers please send donations to Hope Outreach.
