Charles M. Borowy, Chuck, passed away peacefully on February 25, 2026. Chuck was born on April 28, 1926 in Erie PA. He was the forth child of seven and oldest son of Helen and Joseph Borowy. Charles was loved by all for his charm, limitless curiosity and lifelong pursuit of learning new things. He was a natural coach, always willing to help others learn more and a positive role model of a good man to those around him..
He was preceded in death by his four sisters and two brothers as well as his beloved wife, Louise Borowy. He is survived by his children, Denise, Debra and Jeffrey Borowy (Kim). As well as his granddaughters Nadine Ulmer (Devin Sutton) and Cori Taylor (Chris Laughrey) and his great-granddaughters Emorie and Atleigh Taylor.
Chuck attended Tech High School in Erie, PA then went on to Penn State to study Engineering. He joined the Navy in 1946 then returned to Penn State captaining the swim team and graduating with a degree in business. During summers he was a life guard at Lake Erie and a camp counselor/swim coach in the Pocono Mountains in Pennsylvania. As a young adult Chuck enjoyed the outdoors and water sports with his brothers and friends. Later in life he enjoyed the challenge of golf and continually applied himself to improving his technique and game.
After college he started work as a service tech with American Sterilizer Company and quickly worked his way up to a position as as sales representative where he earned the coveted south Florida territory due to his contributions to the company. In Florida he was active in his church and passionate in service to those in need through the St. Vincent de Paul Society, first at Our Lady Queen of Martyrs in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and for the past thirty years at St. Bonaventure Church in Davie, Florida.
Chuck's family and friends may gather for visitation at TM Ralph Funeral Homes Sawgrass/Weston, (www.tmralph.com), 371 NW 136th Ave, Sunrise, FL 33325, on Wednesday, March 4, 2026 from 5:00 to 8:00 pm, and all may attend the funeral Mass, followed by a reception in the parish center, on Thursday, March 5, 2026 at 11:00 am at St. Bonaventure Church (www.stbonaventurechurch.com), 1301 SW 136th Ave, Davie, FL 33325. Chuck's final resting place will be in the South Florida National Cemetery at 6501 S. State Road 7 (US 441), Lake Worth, FL.
In respect to Chuck's wishes, the family requests, in lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Vincent de Paul Society at St. Bonaventure Church: Link for Donations
