In loving memory of Barton Lee Johnson, a remarkable woman whose presence lit up every room she entered. Barton lived a life filled with grace, elegance, and an undeniable charm that captivated all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

Born in Ottumwa on August 4th, 1936, Barton's journey led her to various accomplishments that showcased her undeniable talent and beauty. She graced the covers of prestigious magazines such as Vogue, Glamour, Town and Country, and Harper's Bazaar Magazine, solidifying her position as one of the top 50 most beautiful women in New York. Her magnetic aura even caught the eye of Marlon Brando, who handpicked her to walk alongside him in a modeling event—an honor that she carried with great pride.

Barton's adventurous spirit led her to unforgettable experiences, including a thrilling ride with Elvis Presley on the back of his motorcycle when she was just 21 years old. Her impeccable sense of style always set her apart from the crowd, making her a true icon in every sense of the word.

Beyond her glamorous endeavors, Barton dedicated herself to serving as the Head of Diplomatic Events for the City of Philadelphia. Organizing over 200 events, including hosting Queen Elizabeth II, Barton's impact on the city was profound. One of her proudest moments was arranging the Nation's 200th birthday party and overseeing all the free city concerts and festivals that brought joy to countless lives.

Barton will forever be remembered for her radiant personality—positive, upbeat, and brimming with high energy. She had an innate ability to charm anyone effortlessly and was truly the life of every party she attended.

She is survived by her loving daughters Kim Johnson of Delray Beach and Kirsten Fleming of Plantation, Florida. Her legacy continues through her three granddaughters—Amber, Kimber, and Kolby—and two great-grandchildren—Mason and Ryder.

Barton is preceded in death by her late husband Everett Johnson (2011) and brother Ovid Lewis (2011).
