In Loving Memory of Arthur “King” Lowe:
Supportive father and grandfather
It’s never easy to say goodbye to someone who has been a part of our lives. When that person is gone, there’s a hole where he used to be in your life. That’s what many of us are feeling today as we say goodbye to our beloved Arthur.
Arthur was born on October 12th, 1945 and departed this world on January 8th, 2024.
Some of you knew Arthur better than others but we’re all here today because of the impact he had on each and every one of our lives and because Arthur had that effect on us, it’s not going to be easy to say goodbye to him.
With his kind heart, humor, love, dedication and positive attitude, Arthur always made everyone feel comfortable. He always knew how to make everyone laugh.
Arthur was known for his story telling. Whether it would be racing cars back in the day in Jamaica or when he worked late nights at the hospital or when he was hanging with the guys at the garage playing dominos.
Arthur got his nickname “King” when he was baby. He got that name because his father would sit him in the center of the dinner table and he would eat out of everyone’s plate. All of his siblings would always say “Man, he must be the King”.
Arthur was always a great provider and made sure his wife and children were taken care of. He knew how to balance his work life and family life. He would help the kids with their car repairs to make sure they would get to school and work. He would help with dinner some nights making fachung and rice and his specialty dish Toyoko chicken.
At such a difficult time, it’s important to remember the good memories we all have of Arthur. By holding on to those memories, we can focus on the good times we had together and help each other find comfort at this time.
May we find solace in knowing that Arthur is now reunited with his love, Judy. May they both rest in eternal peace now that they are back together again.
Arthur is survived by his three sons Dayton and his wife, Ellen Lee, Matthew and his wife, Elizabeth Londono, and Adam and his wife, Michelle; five grandkids Sage, Matthew Jr., Dayton Jr., Adam Jr., Sophia, and one great-grandchild Jace.
