Anthony James Lorenz, lovingly known as Tony, was born on April 11, 1948, in Cincinnati, Ohio. After a life dedicated to hard work, service, and family, he passed away on August 24, 2025, in Lantana, Florida. He leaves behind loving memories that will forever be cherished by his family and friends.

Tony's commitment to excellence was evident throughout his career. He earned a Bachelor’s degree in building construction technology from Florida International University in 1978, which laid the foundation for his professional journey. In April 1989, he took the bold step of starting his own welding business, A-Expert Welding and Fabrication, Inc., showcasing his entrepreneurial spirit and dedication to his craft.

His service to his country was equally commendable. Tony enlisted in the United States Navy, serving from 1966 to 1970 on board the USS Constellation, and later at DaNang Airbase as a welder and aircraft mechanic during the Vietnam War. This experience not only instilled in him a sense of duty and pride but also contributed to his development as a thoughtful and intelligent individual with a great sense of humor.

In his personal life, Tony was known for the joy he brought to family gatherings, where he would often be found cooking and enjoying time with loved ones. He had an adventurous spirit, delighting in travels across Europe and throughout the U.S. National Parks. His passion for racing was embodied in his cherished red Steeda Mustang, reflecting his zest for life and thrill-seeking nature.

In retirement, Tony found joy in listening to YouTube travel vlogs, particularly those featuring Joe and Nic’s Road Trip. His involvement with the Everglades Conservation Club allowed him to pursue his love for airboating and connect with nature, while attending football and hockey games highlighted his enthusiasm for sports.

Tony's proudest accomplishments included achieving his Eagle Scout rank in his youth and his dedicated military service.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Lila, and their two sons, James and Raymond. Tony was preceded in death by his mother, Juanita Kaeser, and his sister, Connie Strong. His legacy of hard work, humor, and love will live on through those who were fortunate enough to know him.
