Adnan “Danny” Ezzeddine passed away on October 16, 2026, in Broward County, Florida, after fighting a courageous three-and-a-half-year battle with stage IV colon cancer with grace, poise, and dignity. He was born on June 20, 1955, in Beirut, Lebanon, and will be remembered as a man of strength, warmth, and enduring character.
Danny lived a life marked by achievement, devotion, and deep personal integrity. He graduated from the University of Louisiana with a Bachelor of Architecture and went on to earn a Master of Architecture and Solar Energy from the University of Colorado. His professional life reflected both his discipline and his vision. In 2020, he retired from the City of Plantation as Director of Design and Construction and then Building Official, leaving behind a meaningful legacy through the many buildings, renovations, parks, and community centers to which he contributed across the city. He also held multiple professional licenses, including Architecture, General Contractor, Threshold Inspector, Plan Examiner, Building Official, and Interior Design, and he continued to maintain these active licenses throughout his life.
Yet for all of his professional accomplishments, those who knew Danny understood that his greatest pride was found in his daughter and grandchildren. The most treasured memories of him live in the everyday joys he created with those he loved: dinners shared around the table, glasses of wine enjoyed in good company, time spent cooking with the grandchildren, and long FaceTime calls with the grandkids when distance kept them apart. These were the moments that defined him most clearly—moments of presence, affection, and generous attention.
Danny was a true gentleman. He carried himself with charisma, a wonderful sense of humor, and a smile that could light up a room. He had a rare gift for making everyone feel welcome and important. He was generous and fiercely loyal, steadfast in his beliefs, and grounded in strong morals and ethics. His grace in life was matched by the dignity with which he faced illness, and that example will remain with all who loved him.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Noha Ezzeddine; his daughter, Serena Ezzeddine; and his three grandchildren, Catalina, Gabriel, and Lucas Flores, who brought him immense happiness. He is also survived by his sisters Nawal, Daad, and Aida, and by his brother, Riad. In the circle of his family and friends, Danny leaves behind lasting love, cherished memories, and an example of kindness, strength, and devotion that will not be forgotten.
He was preceded in death by his father, Ahmad Ezzeddine; his mother, Mahasen Murad; and his sisters Fatima, Dalal, and Hayat.
Adnan “Danny” Ezzeddine will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all whose lives were brightened by his presence. His life was one of purpose, loyalty, and love, and his memory will continue to live on in the family he cherished and the many lives he touched.
