Shirley Anne Lomicka

LOMICKA, SHIRLEY ANNE, age 84, of Sunrise, Florida, passed away Friday, January 2, 2015. She was the daughter of Harry and Gertrude (Helzel) Lomicka, now deceased. She is survived by her brothers and sisters, Harry (Rita) Lomicka of San Francisco, CA; Roy Lomicka of Rochester, NY; Irene Murrman of Ligonier, PA; Charles (Cheryl) Lomicka of Hemet, CA; Nancy (Lawrence) Haynes of Wattsburg, PA; and Diane (Roy) French of Bobcaygeon, Ontario, Canada, and was predeceased by sisters Marjorie (Rich) Carfang of Delmont, PA, and Phyllis (Michael) Rubala of Denver, CO. She is also survived by many very special nephews and nieces, her beloved kitty Mittens, and many dear friends. Shirley was born July 4, 1930, in Jeannette, Pennsylvania, attended Jeannette High School, and worked for many years in Florida in the real estate business. She enjoyed her life in Florida and getting out each morning was an important part of her day. She was well known and brought smiles at all her stops. She so loved her family, friends and pets, and all the framed photographs lining her shelves at home testify to that. Her friend Patty expressed it best, that she was a "timeless treasure who danced her way through life." She was much loved and will be dearly missed. Arrangements are being handled by T. M. Ralph Funeral Home, Plantation, Florida, and a private service and inurnment will be held at Twin Valley Memorial Park, Delmont Pennsylvania, at the convenience of the family.
