Shirley Grabske

December 26, 1932 — November 16, 2014

Shirley Ann Grabske of Sunrise, FL, formerly of Milwaukee, Wisconsin and long- time resident recently passed away on November 16, 2014 due to complications associated with Congestive Heart Failure, Diabetes and Advanced Alzheimer’s Disease. Shirley, born December 26, 1932, to the late Loretta and Frank Semler, has one brother, Orville Semler. Shirley graduated from high school in West Allis, Wisconsin and was employed as a Supervisor at Allis Chalmers, Milwaukee. Wisconsin. In her spare time, she loved to horseback ride and boarded her horse, Lady at a nearby barn where she met her husband, Daniel Grabske. They married on May 1, 1954 and had three children, Lois Ann, Jean Marie, and Daniel Jr. She was a full time homemaker and was an excellent baker and cook! She also was an avid, loving pet owner to many pug dogs and cats. Once the children were in school, she also worked part time at various positions including housekeeping at West Allis Memorial Hospital, West Allis, Wisconsin. . After retirement, Shirley relocated to Coral Springs, Florida, to live with her daughter, Jean Jankovich. During her retirement, she enjoyed reading Sylvia Browne’s entire book collection, cross-work puzzles, cross-stitching, shopping, taking care of and loving Jean’s two cats (Charlie Brown and Prince), and most of all, visiting with her family and friends. Shirley is survived by her Daughter Jean Marie and Son, Daniel, Jr; grandchildren, Billie, the late Pamela, Timothy, Brian, Greg, Jeffrey, Andy, Nathaniel, Michael and many great grandchildren, family and friends. Her life will be celebrated with family and friends on Monday, 12 Noon December 8, 2014 at Our Lady of Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery Chapel, North Lauderdale, Florida. Following a prayer service an inurnment will take place in the Resurrection Building of Our Lady of Queen of Heaven Catholic Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, family requests donations be made either to the Alzheimer’s Foundation of America or American Heart Association. Cremation arrangements by T.M.
