Samuel F Picone

June 2, 1925 — October 9, 2014

Samuel F. Picone passed on in peace at his home on Thursday, October 9, 2014, at the age of 89.  Sam is survived by his wife, Lorraine, his two loving children Richard and Lenore and his daughter-in-law, Leslie.  Sam was the proud grandfather of Samantha and Rachael and great grandfather of Gia Bella and Milania.    Sam was veteran in the US Army during WWII.  He was injured in the line of duty and was the recipient of the Purple Heart four times.  Sam was a graduate of Brooklyn College with a major in chemistry.  Sam was raised in Brooklyn, moved to Long Island, NY, where he raised his two children, moved to Florida where he remained and enjoyed his family and friends.  Sam was the inventor of the Ultra Violet Light Integrator which was used for quality control in the printing industry.    A celebration of life service will be held from  2:00 p.m.– 5:00 pm, Saturday, October 11, 2014, at T M Ralph Funeral Home N.W. 136th Ave. at N.W. 2nd Street 371 N.
