Curtis Sherrod

Sherrod, Curtis 76 of Davie passed away at home on Feb. 1, 2014 being cared for by his family. He fought a long and valiant battle with cancer. Born in Alapaha, Georgia he came to South Florida in 1949. He was a real estate developer, general contractor, and cattle rancher, but above all else he was a loving & wonderful husband, father, and grandfather. He was married to Joan for 57 years, was the father of three children, Curtis (Peggy), Deborah, and Joan E; who preceded him in death, grandfather of Regina, Curtis Lee, Danielle, and Tommy, and great grandfather of Matthew. He was also preceded in death by his grandaughter Meghan. He was the brother of Bobby (Maxine), and uncle of Carl and Laurie Lee. Friends will be received on Wednesday from 4:00 PM until the service time at the T.M. Ralph Funeral Home Sawgrass Weston 371 NW 136 Avenue Sunrise, Florida 33325. A funeral service will be held Wedensday Evening at 6:00 PM. The family will continue to receive friends following the service. He will continue to live on in the hearts of all those who loved him.
